Welcome to HealingPlanetStudio where my goal is to share images of birds in their natural habitat that bring you joy, reflection, and recognition that looking after all living things, and looking after our Mother Nature, is an obligation we all have. I invite you to click on My Photographs and journey with me into the beauty of nature and the birds that surround us.
My love of bird photography was vastly influenced by the infamous BP Oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. I saw, in a most disturbing and vivid fashion, how thousands of magnificent birds were coated in oil and perished. It was then that I started to pay more attention to birds and the threats they face. I learned about the important work various non-profit organizations, especially the Audubon Society, do for birds and their habitat. At the time I was president of a solar energy company, and I decided to donate a solar system to one of their centers in recognition of their efforts. That system has been and will continue to provide them with 100% clean renewable energy for years to come. You can see Audubon's announcement on that here.
I must admit that over the years, birds have completely captured my heart. I spend most of my free time birding and admiring the beauty of these stunning creatures. While birding itself is wonderful, a camera lets you see the beauty of birds in magnificent detail.
If you would like to purchase one or more of my photos, you can feel great by knowing that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Audubon Society - not a single penny will be kept by me. I hope, through your generosity and my efforts, to support the Audubon Society’s conservation of birds and their habitat.
